In this practical workshop on blood sampling we will:

  • Give practical guidance on blood volumes to take, recipients to use, etc.
  • Discuss advantages and disadvantages of the different sampling techniques
  • Demonstrate different blood sampling techniques in living animals, followed by practical training of the different techniques:
    • V. saphena
    • Tail vein
    • Submandibular
    • Sublingual
    • Cardiac puncture (non-recovery)
    • V. cava caudalis (non-recovery)

The training will be given in English.

Format

Practical workshop where you will receive hands-on training on blood sampling techniques in mice.

Target Audience

Technicians and researchers who need to learn blood sampling in mice. A LAS certificate (EU function A or FELASA B) accepted by one of the local Authorities in Belgium is necessary to attend the workshop. As the number of places is limited we strongly ask to only subscribe when you need these techniques in your daily work.
