Dear BCLAS members, dear colleagues,

In careful consultation with the external event organizer and in consideration of safeguarding the health and safety of everyone in our industry (our members, our exhibitors and our longtime partners), the BCLAS Board has made the difficult decision to cancel our 44^th Symposium 2020, scheduled for May 12-13 in Liège (Belgium).

Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event as planned. However, we believe it is the right decision based on the information we have today.

Our team has already reached out directly to exhibitors and the venue with information concerning this decision.

The BCLAS Board is also exploring options to set up a small one-day event later this year and is interacting with Palais des Congrès, the venue, to set a date for our Symposium in the year 2021. We will inform you as soon as these new event dates are known.

We wish to thank everybody who already worked so hard to set up a strong program for this year’s edition, entitled “It’s all about communication”. We plan to further build on these preparations for the one-day event.
